Jackie clocked in @ 10:20pm. She was in full uniform.
3:00am – Customer 1 is already in the restaurant. Her order was placed @ 2:37am. (Order #001-103646) David is standing near customer 1 talking. Jackie just clocked out for break and is headed outside for a smoke.
Jackie doesn’t go all the way outside and is smoking in the doorway.3:02am – Jackie comes back inside and goes to sit at the break table since she is off the clock.
3:07am – Customer 2 enters and sits at a booth. David greets him and gets him something to drink.
3:08am – David goes to the register to ring in an order for customer 2. (Order #001-103647) David should have used a handheld.
3:10am – Customer 2 changes his mind about his order when David brings him his receipt. The customer also hands him a card. David goes to the register and voids out the food that was rung in for customer 2. David then uses the card the customer gave him, to process payment for his drink. Customer 2 leaves. No food was made.
3:12am – David clear off the table customer 2 just left. He then gets customer 1 a coffee refill.
3:14am – Customer 1 hands David cash for her order. He takes it to the register to process payment.
3:17am – Customer 1 moves to a different booth where she and David continue to talk.
3:32am – Jackie clocks back in from break. David is still standing by customer 1 talking.
3:33am – Jackie and David both go to the register where David fills out a void slip for customer 2’s order.
3:35am – Customer 1 goes outside to smoke.
3:37am – Jackie goes to the kitchen and drops an order of cheese curds into the fryer. No order has been rung yet. Customer 1 returns and David gets her a coffee refill.
3:41am – David goes to the register and rings in an employee discounted order for himself. (Order #001-103648) Jackie plates the cheese curds she made, sets them on the counter then goes to the register. Jackie now rings in her order. (Order #001-103649)
3:42am – Jackie voids her order because she forgot to add the employee discount. She rings in her order again with the discount applied. (Order #001-103650)
3:43am – Jackie fills out a void slip for herself.
3:44am – David goes to the kitchen to make his order.
3:45am – Customer 3 enters and sits at the counter. Jackie greets him and gets him a water.
3:46am – Jackie goes to the register to ring in the order for customer 3. (Order #001-103651)
3:47am – Customer 3 hands Jackie a card to pay for his order. David is in the kitchen and begins working on the customers order.
3:49am – David plates his food. Jackie goes to the kitchen to eat some of her food.
3:53am – David plates the order for customer 3 and takes it out to him. David then goes to the register and clocks out for break. He returns to the kitchen to grab is food and takes it to the break table to eat.
Jackie stands in the kitchen by the hand sink checking her phone and eating her order.3:58am – Jackie finishes eating then goes to check on customer 2 and get him a water refill. Jackie also checks in on customer 1 before she returns to standing in the kitchen near the sink.
4:01am – Customer 3 leaves.
4:03am – Jackie clears of the counter where customer 3 left from.
4:04am – Jackie returns to standing by the hand sink.
4:09am – An online order comes in. (UE Order #999-19066) Jackie begins making the order.
4:10am – The restaurant phone rings so Jackie goes to the register to answer it. She then returns to the kitchen to continue making the online order.
4:14am – Jackie packs up the online order and puts it on the counter. She then goes to get the drink for the order ready and puts it in the fridge to keep it cold.
4:17am – Jackie restocks the cheese in the cooler the returns to standing at the sink on her phone.
4:19am – Jackie goes to the restroom.
4:20am – A delivery driver enters to pick up the online order.
4:27am – David clocks back in from break. He then confirms the order with the delivery driver and hands her the order.
4:28am – Jackie returns from the restroom. The delivery person leaves. David goes to check on customer 1 and stands around talking with her. Jackie goes to the kitchen and cleans up.
4:30am – Customer 1 leaves. David clears off the table she left.
4:32am – David goes to the register and pays cash for his order. He then takes the tip bucket to exchange coins for bills and smaller bills for larger bills.
4:45am – David is still counting money at the register.
4:47am – Jackie goes to the register and pays cash for her order with her portion of the tips.
4:51am – David is at the register and closes an open Grub Hub order. (Order #001-103644)
4:53am – David goes to the restroom. Jackie goes to the back to rinse some dishes.
4:55am –
Jackie goes outside to smoke. Jackie doesn’t go all the way outside and is smoking in the doorway.4:57am – Jackie returns inside and goes to the kitchen to wash her hands. She then checks her tablet duties before going back to the kitchen to deep clean the grill.
Summary:- Meals are to be eaten during your 30-minute meal break – Not before or after.
- Smoking is permitted only during the 30-minute meal break. No additional smoke breaks are allowed during shift. Smoking should also be done outside and not in the doorway!
- Phones should not be used in the kitchen or serving areas.
- When ringing in orders for customers not sitting at the counter, use a handheld.
